Generator is a movement inspiring people who live in the U.S. to humanize policy through storytelling. We achieve this by using social media platforms to share about how policy affects our everyday lives. Founded by Broad City’s Ilana Glazer, Ruby Anaya and Glennis Meagher, we humbly admit: we don’t know shit!
This Generator Series is a limited 4-part event focused on progressive candidates running in the midterms and activists working towards social justice. Ilana Glazer will be interviewing activists and politicians to see how they each serve us - the people. This election might be one of the most important in our lifetime, so we are also coordinating volunteer buses for those able and interested the weekend of November 3rd to canvas for the candidates you see at the show. We'll also share additional ways to volunteer - let's do all that we can and work together to make sure this election counts.
Glazer can currently be seen in Sony Pictures’ comedy, Rough Night, directed by Lucia Aniello and starring opposite Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Kravitz, Kate McKinnon and Demi Moore. Glazer was also recently seen in the film The Night Before opposite Seth Rogan and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Glazer is a Critics Choice Award nominated actress, comedian and writer based in New York City. Along with Jacobson, she was a creator, co-writer, and star of the original ECNY's (Emerging Comic New York) nominated web series “Broad City.” Glazer also received an individual nomination for her stand-up as well as “High School Talent Show,” a live show she co- created with her brother Eliot Glazer. In 2014 Glazer has received a Critics Choice Television Award nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Broad City. Glazer is a graduate of New York University, has trained at Upright Citizens Brigade NY and is originally from Long Island.
Broad City was previously nominated by the Writers Guild of America for ‘Best Comedy Series.’
